Description

The 375th Contracting Squadron, Scott AFB IL, intends to award a sole source requirement for renewal of the subscription of Congressional Quarterly, for 1 Aug 2003 through 31 Jul 2004 from its manufacturer, Congressional Quarterly, Inc. This on-line service enables USTRANSCOM to have access to the required information to support CDR USTRANSCOM and USTRANSCOM. A majority of the war fighting Combatant Commanders legislative affairs offices use Congressional Quarterly to track legislation and receive defense-related hearing transcripts, to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff. A subscription to Congressional Quarterly gives USTRANSCOM access to nearly all defense-related hearing transcripts, reports, and legislation in a timely manner. Congressional Quarterly notifies customers, on a daily basis, or even three times a day, if the customer requests it, updates on issues the House and Senate are working. Congressional Quarterly contacts every committee every day to provide the most detailed listings on all scheduled floor, committee and subcommittee action. Includes dates, times, locations, agendas, contact information and witnesses. Congressional Quarterly, with 48 hours minimum notice, will cover a defense hearing upon subscriber request; thus, allowing USTRANSCOM to cover all issues that impact and affect mission requirements. The service is critical in preparing CDR USTRANSCOM for congressional office calls and hearings. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 511140 and the small business size standard is 500 employees.
