Description
Uniforms, consisting of Parade Jackets and Trousers/Slacks. Garments shall be manufactured utilizing both Government Furnished Material (GFM) for the Parade Jackets and Contractor Furnished Material (CFM) Mens and Womens Trouser and Slacks. The proposed contract will be a non-commercial, firm fixed price requirements contract with a basic period (date of award through 30 Sept 04 with 4 one year options). Exact quantities and sizes will be provided on or about 01 AUG each year. Estimated yearly quantities (to include fill-in requirements) are: Coat Men?s 1150; Women?s 250; Trousers Men?s 1887; Slacks Women?s 450, Special program Slacks for Drum and Bugle Corp 54. Exact quantities and sizes will be identified on individual delivery orders issued no later than (NLT) 21 July each year. A clause contained in this request for proposal is 252.225-7012, Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities, also referred to as the Berry Amendment. The Berry Amendment applies only to Departement of Defense (DOD) and has been incuded in DoD Appropriations Act since 1941. The Act restricts DoDs expenditure of funds for supplies consisting in whole or in part of certain articles and items not grown or produced in the United States or its possessions. First articles for each garment will be required within 30 days after contract award. GFM and one Master patterns for each garment will be provided for the first articles subsequent to contract award. The master patterns shall be sewed for grading and development of necessary working patterns. Inspections, during the manufacturing and packaging process, shall be performed at the contractors place of manufacture at the governments discretion. Final acceptance will be at the USAF Academy. Delivery shall be FOB Destination, USAF Academy CO 80840 not later than 10 Jan 04. While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award will be based on best value to include past performance. Request for Proposal (RFP) F05611-03-R-0006 (to include all specifications) will be available o/a 10 JUNE 03. RFP closing will be o/a 11 JUL 03. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. This solicitation will be available via the Electronic Procurement System (http://www.eps.gov ). No paper copies will be furnished. The Standard Industrial Classification for this procurement is 2311, the NAICS code is 315211 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The proposed contract listed here is unrestricted. All size businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
