- Description
- The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt, intends to issue a commercial item solicitation for off-site storage and related services for microfilm, tape cartridges, and miscellaneous items for a base year and four one-year option periods. The Contractor?s storage site must be at least 50 miles away from the Parkersburg, WV site to ensure the safety of the archived materials in the event of a disaster in or near facilities located in Parkersburg, WV. The required services include, but are not limited to, the storage of approximately 6,000 back-up magnetic tape cartridges; maintenance and storage of approximately 1.6 million reels of original negative microfilm; same day, designated pick-up and delivery of microfilm and tape cartridges on a weekly basis; emergency requests that must be delivered to Public Debt within 24 hours of receipt notification; Diazo film duplication; destruction of microfilm; and maintenance of inventory. The Contractor?s storage site must be free from air pollution and other potential hazards, have automatic sprinkler systems with water flow alarms to a central station, have smoke and intrusion systems with police connect panel, and comply with local building codes, such as Fire Underwriter?s Regulations and National Fire Protection Association. The North American Classification code for this solicitation is 493190 and the Small Business Size Standard is $21.5 million.
