- Description
- FDIC is seeking sources to assist the FDIC in implementing a skills initiative to identify the skills required to perform successfully in specific job titles, including the required proficiency levels. We also looking to maintain the skills inventory for employees in those job titles, in order to identify the skill gaps and provide training interventions or other experiences to fill those gaps. Many job titles at the FDIC are in areas which are widely found at other organizations. In order to conserve resources, we would like to determine what commercially-available inventories of job-skills already exist. We are, initially, specifically interested in jobs-skills databases in these areas: Financial areas, such as: ? Accountants, Financial Analysts, and Auditors and Positions in the Information Technology area However, we anticipate eventually covering all jobs across the FDIC, so we would like to also know what other job areas may have already been inventoried. The information we are requesting for existing jobs-skills inventories is: ? A description of the elements involved in the inventory (skills, proficiency scale, job titles, learning resources) and how they are organized ? A few sample pages demonstrating the layout and approach of the inventory ? A listing of the various job series which are available (i.e., financial, IT, Personnel, etc.) and the job titles covered in each. This is not a request for competitive proposals. The purpose of this notice is to develop a list of qualified firms that can provide the service. A response to this request for information does not guarantee that a firm will be solicited on any solicitation issued as a result of this request for information. The FDIC would like to receive all responses by Friday, May 30, 2003, no later than 2:00 p.m. local time. Also please provide information as to whether your solution is on the GSA Schedule. Responses should be ten single-spaced pages in length or less. Firms responding to this announcement which fail to provide the required information may not be considered for inclusion into any resulting source list. FACSIMILE AND TELEPHONE RESPONSES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
