- Description
- The US Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with General Atomics for the Design, Fabricate, Integrate and Demonstation support of a M-ACE Turret . It is currently the intention of TACOM-ARDEC to issue a sole-source contract pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). This is a follow-on contract for continued support of unique services from the original developer, and award to any other source would likely result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the Army?s requirements. This effort establishes and defines the non- specification requirements for Contractor efforts under a engineering services contract associated with design, fabrication support, and integration and demonstration support of a M-ACE Turret. The M-ACE Turret will be required to withstand the imposed firing loads, as defined by the government, while minimizing weight. The turret/weapon system interface requirements will also be defined by the government. Submittal of information is requested via electronic mail only to Donna Apgar dapgar@pica.army.mil. A contract will be issued for one year. This notice of intent is not a request for competition; no solicitation is available, however, interested parties may express, in writing, their interest and document their bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. Such information will be reviewed only to determine if it is necessary to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. See Numbered Notes 22 and 25.
