Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification for the SEMI support of integrating the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS) into the SSGN platforms. This support shall be provided under the direction of PMA-280. Efforts include, but are not limited to, developing a System Test Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), establishing an SSGN baseline of applicable Coordination Drawings, support development of new Interface Documentation by SSP, reviewing and providing technical analyses for Trade Studies, and supporting SSGN Information Assurance and Joint Interoperability Test Command planning/strategy activities. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer for the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR). RSC solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tactical Tomahawk missile. Raytheon currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapon System (TWS). They possess the required knowledge and documentation necessary to assess impacts to external AUR and TWS interfaces. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to conduct tasking under this contract, RSC is the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
