Description
The Office of Project Manager for Close Combat Systems (OPM-CCS) is pleased to announce an Industry Day and One-on-Ones to discuss the upcoming acquisition for the Bunker Defeat Munition (BDM) program. Industry Day will include discussions on BDM production requirements and plans, the source selection process, an explanation of the BDM technical and functional requirements and a question and answer session. OPM-CCS also intends to issue a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the BDM program. A draft RFP is provided for planning and informational purposes only. The BDM acquisition will be based on ?Best Value? source selection criteria. The BDM will continue to be a single-shot, shoulder- launched, disposable munition capable of defeating earth and timber fortifications (bunkers), however, advancements beyond these capabilities are desired. Draft technical requirements are defined in the attached Performance Specification. Potential offerors should monitor official Government Point of Entry (GPE) website (www.fedbizopps.gov) for all future BDM notifications and information. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the Industry Day, which is tentatively scheduled for 10 June 2003. Pursuant to Section 806 executed by PEO for Ammunition, this acquisition will be limited to the domestic industrial base (US and Canada). If requested, accommodations for One- on-One exchanges will be arranged with the Government Team. This interface with Industry will assist the Government?s acquisition planning and ensuing source selection structure. All parties interested in the Industry Day and One-on- Ones should contact Louisa Melendez <melendez@pica.army.mil>, Contract Specialist, US Army ARDEC, Picatinny Center for Contracting and Commerce, AMSTA- AQ-APF B.9, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Submittal of information is requested via electronic mail only to Louisa Melendez: melendez@pica.army.mil. This is not a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. See Numbered Notes 25, and 26.
