Description
NA CONTACT Kim Dahabsu, Electronics Engineer, (732)532-3168. Doppler/GPS Navigation Set Upgrade. This is a market survey to locate potential sources for the production phase of the AN/ASN-128D Doppler/GPS Navigation Set (DGNS). This entails the integration o f the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) based GPS receiver into the AN/ASN-128B Doppler/GPS Navigation Set (DGNS). The modified AN/ASN-128B sets, to include the Control Display Unit (CDU) and the Signal Data Converter (SDC), when combine d with the RT-1193() Receiver Transmitter Antenna (RTA) is type designated as the AN/ASN-128D Doppler/GPS Navigation Set. The AN/ASN-128D will be Army self-certifiable for IFR operations in National Airspace (NAS) IAW standards of TSO C-129 for enroute th rough non-precision approach. Only software changes may be made to the existing CDU. The new SDC must be compatible with the CDU and RTA. The SAASM receiver and IFR capability will be embedded into up to 1268 DGNS systems currently integrated into the A rmy fleet of Black Hawk and Chinook aircraft. Presently the Army has a contract with BAE Systems, Totowa, NJ for a two-year period, which involves embedding the SAASM card and IFR requirements into five AN/ASN-128B sets. The prototype AN/ASN-128Ds will b e fully qualified for an airworthiness release. The Government is not in possession of a complete technical data package for the AN/ASN-128D. This follow-up contract will be a five-year IDIQ type contract and will offer an incentive for the selectee to d eliver a small quantity of modified sets early. The modifications will be accomplished IAW the technical specification developed and approved at the conclusion of the current development contract. Potential bidders must have the production facilities to demonstrate the capability to integrate the SAASM into an existing DGNS and meet First Article Test requirements. Successful qualification, to include EMI testing, flight testing and operational field testing, and passing of the First Article Test, must o ccur prior to system fielding in 2nd Qtr FY05. Selectee will be required to upgrade the Army??????s Software Engineering Environment (SEE) at Ft Monmouth, NJ to test maintain system software only. Selectee will be required to upgrade Depot level test equi pment currently used at Tobyhanna Army Depot for system sustainment. Provide responses to include some detailed description explaining how you will meet requirements stated in this announcement to: U.S. Army, CECOM, ATTN: SFAE-AV-AS-AME-F (Dahabsu), Ft Mon mouth, NJ 07703 NLT 19 Jun 03.
