Description
This is a Regional, Combination Firm Fixed Price and Indefinite Quantity contract to provide annual chain link fencing maintenance, repair, replacement and installation for the entire Mid-Atlantic Region. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, safety and management necessary to provide maintenance construction, repair, and alteration work to fences and portions thereof belonging to the United States Government as designated by the Contracting Officer. Work is primarily located at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA; Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA; Naval Air Station, Oceana, Virginia Beach, VA; Naval Base, Norfolk, VA and Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, Norfolk, VA. Offers shall be submitted for the performance of work for a period of one year. However, the initial term of the contract may be for a period of less than one year. The Government has the option to extend the term of the contract services for additional periods of one to twelve months. The total contract term, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed 36 months. The proposed procurement listed herein has been accepted by the Small Business Administration for competition in the 8(a) program. It is being offered for competition ONLY to eligible 8(a) concerns within the geographical area serviced by the SBA Richmond District Office. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The estimated price range is more than $10,000,000. All persons interested in a copy of the IFB may view and/or download the document at the following web address: http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Contractors must register on the E-Sol Web prior to downloading the solicitation to ensure notification of any/all changes/additional information related to the solicitation. The Government contemplates one contract award with five (5) administration offices resulting from this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 23899 and the size standard is $12,000,000. The (IFB) will be posted on the NAVFACENGCOM Electronic Solicitation (E-Sol) web site on or about 29 May 2003. Estimated bid opening date is 01 July 2003.
