- Description
- Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform various electrical projects at U. S. Coast Guard Base, Galveston, Texas. The work includes the following: A. Replace two, 36-year-old, elevated single ended unit substation assemblies, one at 500KVA 120/208VAC and one at 750KVA 277/480VAC and perform modifications/improvements to the electrical distribution system. B. Replacement of North and South pier lights and electrical distribution system. C. Perform minor lighting system improvements in the Administration Building. D. Provide a new Perimeter Security Lighting system for the fence line around the CG property. E. Provide complete fire alarm replacement systems for the ATON and Blackthorn Buildings. F. Provide modifications to an existing SF6 15KV Load Break Switch, removal of Joslyn 200 ampere deep well fuses and replacement with current manufacture Molded Current Limiting Fuses. G. Provide modifications to an existing 120/208 VAC emergency power system and backfeed two sewage lift stations with emergency generator power. H. Provide temporary installation of on-site diesel generator and distribution system as required to keep the facility in operation during elevated substation replacement. The estimated construction range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The solicitation in its entirety and any amendments will be available at no charge online at http://www.fedbizopps.gov under the above solicitation number. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210. The small business size standard is a three-year average annual gross receipt of $12.0 million. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible, but to be received not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued a Total Small Business Set-Aside without further notice.
