- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY, intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The VA intends to award a cost per kit (CPK) agreement for a Microbiology Lab instrument. This procurement is to obtain a AutoLipa Analyzer/model #128768 with HCV Genotyping Assay reagents Model # 128443, that will be used on site for Hepatitis C Genotyping, Instrument and Reagents are only available from Bayer. It is the belief of the Government that there is currently one responsible source capable of providing the equipment to satisfy the agency requirement. A justification for other than full and open competition is prepared in support of this acquisition. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATION. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Applicable NAICS code 339122.
