THIS PROJECT IS ADVERTISED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS PURSUANT TO THE SMALL BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM. THIS PROJECT IS A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP), PERFORMANCE PRICE TRADE OFF(PPTO)SOLICITATION. Contracting Officer for this project will be Mr. Ed Slana. In general, the work shall consist of the following: MacDill AFB has four entrance gates (Port Tampa, Dale Mabry, MacDill, and Bay Shore). This project will provide extensive reworking of two gat es and slight modifications to the two remaining gates. The project consists of visitor's reception center, traffic check house, security forces building and enhanced vehicle search and inspection areas at the Port Tampa and Dale Mabry gates. Constructio n includes reinforced concrete foundations, masonry walls, standing seam roof systems, clay tile roof systems, HVAC, associated site utilities, parking, bullet-proof glass, perimeter security, grading, landscaping, road construction, fencing, force protect ion and other required support. Includes demolition and relocation of existing roads and boundary fence. Bid documents are available on or about 9 June 2003. Estimated cost of the work is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. Note No. 1: Any prospective bidder interested in bidding on t his solicitation must register for plans and specifications in order to download a copy of the solicitation and be placed on the plan holder's list. If you are not registered, the United States government is not responsible for providing you with notific ations of any changes to this solicitation. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet in order to be able to download the electronic files.
