- Contractor to furnish all labor, supplies, equipment and transportation necessary to grade, gravel and shape 0.9 miles of trail in Shasta County, CA. Pull any berms to the middle of the trail and level in preparation for aggregate placement. Side-casting will be permitted where it is deemed appropriate by the inspector. All ditches and drainage structures will be cleaned and operational prior to aggregate placement. Aggregate will be placed with a 12-foot top width and a depth of 6 inches for the entire length of the project. Any traffic control required to safely perform this work is the responsibility of the contractor. Project begins at the Yellow Gate approximately 1 mile North of the intersection of Matheson and the Rail Road Grade and ending at the intersection of the Rail Trail and Motion Creek. Note: Access over Shasta Dam may be restricted at anytime due to security level changes. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. SOLICATATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OR AROUND June 4, 2003 and will close July 7, 2003 12am EST. To obtain this solicitation you must to go website http://ideasec.nbc.gov/ and you must also be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website http://www.ccr.gov. This project is estimated not to exceed $100,000.00. Estimated start date is August 11, 2003, estimated end date is August 29, 2003. Period of Performance is 15 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Site Tour is scheduled for June 25, 2003 at 9 a.m. at the Keswick Boat Ramp in Keswick, CA. The Keswick Boat Ramp is located five miles up Iron Mountain Road from the intersection with Highway 299 west, which is three miles west of Redding, CA. This is a Jobs-in-the- Woods acquisition and has competition limitation.
