Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, material and equipment to supply and install an aspirating smoke detection system at the Gaithersburg, Maryland site. Complete specifications and drawings shall be issued with the Request for Quotation (RFQ) - This requirement is being procured using the simplified procedures identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, as supplemented by FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts, and the full solicitation package. The NAICS for this requirement is 334290 with a size standard of 750 employees. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The magnitude of construction is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. Work is required to be completed within sixteen (16) weeks after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. -- All responsible sources may submit a quotation. See Numbered Note 1 and 26. Contract award will be made on the basis of the best value to the Government with experience, past performance and systems installed factors considered. The RFQ and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about May 29, 2003 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential contractors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant order. No written request for quote document or telephone requests will be honored. Potential contractors are requested to direct all questions via email to lisa.wells@nist.gov.
