Description

Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Self Contained Breathing Units. The equipment consists of 4 S-3 Scuba Units, 4 60 minute Carbon Fiber Cylinders, 4 Communication system with remote push talk for Motorola XTS3000 and Shipping and Handling. The award will go to Centennial Fire and Safety Equipment, 8547 East Arapahoe Rd., Greenwood Village, CO 80112. The additional Scuba equipment is required to match preexisting scuba equipment. It is imperative that Scuba units are identical to the units already in use at Buckley AFB to ensure standardization and maintenance capabilities are sustained. The 460th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made based off the necessity to match and expand preexisting equipment. Questions should be directed to 2nd Lt. Michael J.
