Description
The U.S. Coast Guard intends to award a best value award under GSA contract GS-07F-0349K to King Fisher Company, 2350 S. Foster Ave, Wheeling, IL 60090 to upgrade all ISC Kodiak?s radio controlled alarm receiving station equipment with updated components and associated software. The following description outlines generalized requirements. Provide all equipment, services, material, testing and training for the replacement of four radio alarm receiving systems as outlined in the following description: (1)At Military Police Watchstander Station/ Building N-38 requires: a. One dual [redundant] Model KFRA-C Radio Alarm Receiver with Logging Printer in Vertical Enclosure with all associated connective hardware and minimum 24 hour battery backup capacity [or approved equal]. b. One Model CAD-2000 Response Plan/ Emergency Dispatch System for dual [redundant] Model KFRA-C with all associated software, connective hardware and associated B/W Laser Printer [or approved equal]. c. One High-Band Antenna with all associated connective hardware. (2) At Fire Department Watchstander Station/ Building N64 requires: a. One duel [redundant] Model KFRA-C Radio Alarm Receiver with Logging Printer in Vertical Enclosure with all associated connective hardware and minimum 24 hour battery backup capacity [or approved equal]. b. One Model CAD-2000 Response Plan/ Emergency Dispatch System for dual [redundant] Model KFRA-C with all associated software, connective hardware and associated B/W Laser Printer [or approved equal]. c. One High-Band Antenna with all associated connective hardware. (3) At Steam Plant Utility Watchstander Station/ Building N-24 requires: a. One single [non-redundant] Model KFRA-C Radio Alarm Receiver with Logging Printer in Vertical Enclosure with all associated connective hardware and minimum 24 hour battery backup capacity [or approved equal]. b. One High-Band Antenna with all associated connective hardware. (4) At BOSS Contract Alarm Maintenance Shop/ Building 18 requires: a. One single [non-redundant] Model KFRA-C Radio Alarm Receiver with Logging Printer in Vertical Enclosure with all associated connective hardware and minimum 24 hour battery backup capacity [or approved equal]. b. One Model CAD-2000 Response Plan/ Emergency Dispatch System for single [non-redundant] Model KFRA-C with all associated software, connective hardware and associated B/W Laser Printer [or approved equal]. c. One High-Band Antenna with all associated connective hardware. (5) Options: a. Additional field testing and verification for potential need to add repeater systems/ equipment at key locations. b. Purchase of repeater system/ equipment. c. Purchase of Manufacturer recommended spare parts for new Radio Alarm Receiver equipment. It?s also the CG?s intent to bring all of ISC Kodiak?s Radio Controlled Alarm Transmitter equipment into compliance with new FCC ?Narrow-Band? requirements. The following description outlines generalized requirements. Provide all equipment; services, material, testing and training for the modification of approximately one hundred sixty-six [166] King-Fisher Company Radio Alarm Transmitters. Modification(s) must bring Radio Alarm Transmitters into compliance with new Federal Communication Commission [FCC] ?Narrow-Band? requirements. Modification(s) must be completed in compliance with FCC, UL, FM, NFPA and existing Radio Alarm Transmitter Manufacturer?s requirements. Items will be awarded under special item numbers: 246-20-3 ?Miscellaneous Alarm and Signal Systems? and 246-50 ?Ancillary Services?. In response to this announcement, companies must provide detailed literature indicating they can provide approved Radio Alarm Receiver and Transmitter equipment, material and services. Provided detailed literature must show ability to provide Narrow-Band conversion equipment; material and components, including appropriate Transmitter RF Modules, that comply with FCC, UL, FM, NFPA and existing Radio Alarm Manufacturer?s requirements. Within ten (10) calendar days after this announcement, if no responses are received from interested companies that provide literature for narrow band conversion kits for transmitter RF modules that are compatible with King-Fisher equipment or responses from a GSA contractor capable of meeting these, award for both the GSA and commercial open market items will be made to the King-Fisher Company of 2350 Foster Avenue/ Wheeling, Illinois 60090-6574.
