Description
This is MODIFICATION one (1) to pre solicitation notice dated 23 January 2003. The Government intends to issue a solicitation for webbing, textile, nylon, 1 23/32 inch width, Type VII, Class 1, 2.35 oz/linear yard 6000 lb. breaking strength, camouflage green 483 class R treated in accordance with Mil-W-27265. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis, for the quantity of 282,364 yards NSN: 8305-00- 782-6734 to be delivered over a six-month period, commencing 135 days after the date of award. Destination is Defense Distribution Depot Albany Transportation Officer, 814 Radford Blvd., and 1221 Bay 5, Albany, GA., 31704-1128. Note: Inspection and acceptance will be at origin. Previous history: Narricot Industries, a quantity 98,712 @ .365 per yard. The resultant contract will also contain one option with the same quantities as the base term. Best value source selection procedures will be utilized to select the successful offeror. The evaluation factors will include Past Performance and price. All responsible small businesses may submit a proposal for consideration to DSCP. Gateway posting of the RFP will be in JUNE 2003. Contact Patricia A. Availability of solicitation, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitation or amendments in paper form. Offerors should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home AFTER 12 JUNE 2003. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not registered you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DOD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFAS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals"(as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
