Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance in with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-03-72 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 334517 Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing. One firm-fixed price contract will be awarded which is the best value to the Government, considering technical capability, past performance and price. Line Item 1: Specimen Radiography System, Salient characteristics: minimum 20-um focal spot size; 5x magnification; 10-35 kV energy range; 300 uA tube current; timer; 0.01? beryllium window filtration; 12-14? x-ray coverage; power 90-240 VAC; 50/60 Hz, 400VA; approximate size of 17? wide x 18 ?? depth x 29?height; and approximate weight of 135 lbs. Certified to comply with standards set by US Food and Drug Administration Center for Devices and Radiology Health. Date and Place of Delivery: Delivery date is six-weeks after award, FOB Destination Coeur dAlene Nursery, 3600 Nursery Road ( Seed Lab), Coeur dAlene, Idaho 83815. Advance notice of delivery is required. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the provision. A completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, needs to be included with offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
