Description
The Government intends to purchase on a brand name or equal basis from TSI Inc., Particle Laser Division, 500 Cardigan Road, Shoreview, MN 55126. The Particle Analyzer System is made up two Particle analyzers, (TSI Model No. 3034 ? 1 each, and TSI Model No. 3321 ? 1 each). The purpose of the Particle Analyzer System is to assist in the development of a filter media for enhancing the chemical/biological protection of conventional HVAC systems. The Particle Analyzer System must meet the following criteria: (1) the system must be capable of detecting the aerosol size distribution in an air stream over a range of 0.01-20 microns diameter; (2) The system must be capable of providing the data and range of item specified above in 32 channel/decade (logarithmic) particle size bins; (3) the system must be capable of detecting particle size regardless of whether or not the challenge particles are electrically charged (use light scattering or neutralize the samples), and (4) the system must include PC interface capabilities for automatic control and data transfer. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All items are to be priced FOB Destination, Dahlgren VA. Award is anticipated to be no later than 16 June 2003 and delivery shall be no later than 15 August 2003. Interested parties other than TSI must provide written documentation demonstrating how their products meet the government?s requirement. The Government will award a purchase order to the responsible contractor whose offer conforms to this notice, meets/exceeds all the specifications for each item, can meet the required delivery schedule, has a satisfactory performance history and is registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. Electronic quote submission is encouraged at XDS13@nswc.navy.mil, but the quote may also be faxed to (540) 653-6810 or delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, ATTN: XDS13-2, Bldg. 183, Room 106, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 referencing RFQ N00178-03-Q-3028 on all submitted documentation. Responses are due by 6 June 2003.
