Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://ww.arnet.gov/far. RFQ R1-04-03-74 is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. This RFQ is 100 percent small business set-aside, the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing. Line Item (1) Continuous Air Stream Separator (CAS), must have an infinitely adjustable air flow system, with the capacity to process large seed lots (large hopper attachment) or small samples, using automatic seed feeding and collection of good seed (bagging attachment) and trash. Minor modification of the separator cabinet is necessary; attach locking casters for easy moving, rather than the standard cabinet legs. Line Item (2) Large (7 cu. Ft.) Hopper for (CAS Item 1); Line Item (3) stand and Bagging Attachment for (CAS Item 1); Line Item (4) 2 each - Oregon Seed Blower (OSB) (110v/60Hz); Line Item (5) 3.25 inch new style tube kit for OSB; Line Item (6) 1.75 inch new style tube kit for OSB. The OSB must have manual and automatic operation and cabinet on casters. The tubes should have independently removable sample and separation containers. FOB destination to: Coeur dAlene Nursery, 3600 Nursery Road, Coeur dAlene, Idaho 83815 on regular working days (Monday through Friday) during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) excluding Federal Government holidays. One firm-fixed price contract will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering past performance, technical capability and price. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Term and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
