Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: The USCG Civil Engineering Unit Providence requires a Design/Build procurement for a Fire Alarm System at three Coast Guard Sites: Station Fire Island in Babylon, NY; Station Montauk, Montauk, NY; and Group Moriches, East Moriches, East Moriches, NY. USCG Group Moriches and Station Fire Island will be a design/build concept where the Contractor will be responsible for designing and building/replacing an existing fire alarm system. The fire alarm system shall be typical for all buildings involved in this project. Components shall be from the same manufacturer as the chosen fire alarm panel. At Station Montauk, the Contractor shall be required to upgrade the existing fire alarm system in accordance with written specifications. A Request for Proposal with evaluation factors will be issued in the near future. THIS ACTION IS BEING CONSIDERED AS A 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION ONLY. The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are qualified small businesses that have the experience in design/build work for fire alarms and if such businesses are interested in this procurement. The NAICS code is 238210. The small business size standard is a three-year averaged annual gross receipt of $12 million. Interested small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer in writing, as early as possible, but not later than 15 calendar days from the date of this notice. The following information is requested in response to this notice: (1) Evidence to establish company?s standing as a small business concern under NAICS code 238210; (2) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; and (3) Evidence of your experience in design/build type work for fire alarm systems (please provide contract descriptions, contract dollar amounts and telephone numbers for points of contact). All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested small business concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested small business concern. If adequate interest in not received from small business concerns by 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this action will not be set-aside for small business and will be issued pursuant to full and open competition without further notice. Interested firms may reply via fax, e-mail, as well as regular mail.
