Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://ww.arnet.gov/far. RFQ R1-04-03-73 is issued as a Request for Quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. This RFQ is 100 percent small business set-aside, the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing. Line Item (1) Westrup Lab Brush Machine LA-H, includes: steel table stand, top-feed hopper, main drive with 2-step pulley for 2 speeds, adjustable discharge gate, collection pans for product and trash, 2-brush main shaft with medium brushes, one mantle No. 16, one dust control unit, 110 volt with start, stop and wall plug. NOTE: Request reshaping and rubberizing of edges of weighted intake door to meet side walls of intake to prevent small seed from existing through the side gaps when closed. Line Item (2) Deduction-Omit dust control unit; Line Item (3) Brush sets, (2 fine, 2 medium, 2 coarse) (3 sets); Line Item (4) Frequency converted for variable speed brush drive, Line Item (5) Mantle, No. 14; Line Item (6) Mantle, No. 12, Line Item (7) Mantle, No. 10, Line Item (8) Mantle, No. 7. FOB destination to: Coeur dAlene Nursery, 3600 Nursery Road, Coeur dAlene, Idaho 83815 on regular working days (Monday through Friday) during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) excluding Federal Government holidays. One firm-fixed price contract will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering past performance, technical capability and price.
