Description

The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about June 12, 2003. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000.The NAICS code is 238160. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the solicitation and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading solicitations and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge ALL amendments to the solicitation. The work of this contract consists of the general rehabilitation of roofs, replacement of fiberglass panels at Hangar 38. Selective demolition of storm damaged roof, gutter and downspouts. Clean to bear concrete. Furnish and install 2-inch insulation and fully adhered, black, 0.060 inch, reinforced EPDM membrane roofing. New flashing to parapet walls and lap splice to existing. Furnish and install estimated 140 linear feet of 5" high x 7" wide aluminum gutter and estimated 7 each, 140 total vertical linear feet of the downspouts. Roof Area 2, 3, and 4, Gambrel and Monitor roof, to furnish and install `1/2-inch recovery board over existing tar paper roofing, and fully adhered, black, 60 mil, reinforced EPDM membrane roofing. New flashing at Monitor walls. At Area 4, lap splice to existing EPDM roof at the valley. The location of the work to be performed is Miller Field, Gateway National Recreation Area, Staten Island Unit, and Staten Island, New York, 10306.
