Description
Solicitation N00244-03-R-0045 is issued under full and open competition. The applicable NAICS code is 811310. The small business size standard is $6,000,000. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5 and 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 13. The proposed contract action is for services (maintenance of Varian linear accelerators). The requirement is for a firm fixed price type contract with a base year and four option years for on-site preventive and corrective maintenance of Government-owned linear acc elerators and multileaf collimators. The equipment is manufactured by Varian Medical Systems. The equipment is located at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego (NMCSD) in the Radiation Therapy Clinic, Building 1, ground floor. The period of performance for the base year starts October 1, 2003. Contact the Contract Specialist for a copy of Section B and the Statement of Work. Ability to meet required response times/maintenance schedules and certification requirements for field engineers and technicians represents the minimum criteria for an acceptable offer. Failure to meet this criteria will render the offer technically unacceptable and the offer will not be considered for award. Response times, maintenance schedules and certification requirements are set forth in the statement of work. Ability to meet required response times/schedules shall be demonstrated by the offeror?s submission of a signed offer which has not taken exception to these requirements. Offerors are to submit the certificates of course completion for a ll field engineers and technicians planned to work under the contract with their proposal. Offerors which take exception to these requirements will be determined to be unacceptable and not considered for award. For past performance, provide data on your two most recently completed (not to exceed 3 years since completion) federal government contracts for similar services. If you do not have federal contracts, you may provide state, local or commercial contracts. Provide the contract number, date of contract, point of contact and telephone number. Information on past performance will be obtained from references as well as any other sources that may have relevant information. Award will be made to that responsible offeror who meets the above minimum schedule/certification requirements, demonstrates acceptable past performance and offers the lowest price.
