- Description
- The Daniel Boone National Forest intends to award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contracts for various Cadastral Surveying Services for the Forest. Multiple contracts may be awarded and Task orders will be issued as needed to accomplish the work. Estimated contract time will vary with each individual task order. Over the total life of the contract, the Government will guarantee to purchase a dollar amount of $3,000 minimum not to exceed a maximum of $70,000 for each contract awarded. **THIS CONTRACT WILL BE FOR STATEWIDE SERVICES AND ONLY FIRMS WITH REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL SURVEYORS LICENSED IN KENTUCKY WILL BE CONSIDERED. The work to be performed under this contract involves the retracement of previous cadastral surveys (Government and Private), establishment of new lines and corners, dependent resurvey and corner monumentation of the Metes and Bounds Survey System, establishment of National property corners, and posting and marking of selected National Forest boundaries as listed in the Schedule of Items, and the narrative of the work. From a list of established corner points and through independent research to establish new corner points, the Contractor(s) shall make an acquisition survey and conduct a diligent search for collateral evidence at each corner using the original survey records and records of subsequent surveys. Upon recovery of all available evidence, the Contractor(s), as a Licensed Land Surveyor in Kentucky, will monument the corner positions with Government-Furnished monuments, mark corner accessories, refurbish existing corners, and document the corner monumentations on Monument Records (corner cards) and a Plat of Survey and Legal Description, which will be recorded at the time of closing in the county where the survey is located. Firms desiring consideration shall submit completed SF-254?s (Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire) and SF-255?s (Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for Specific Project) by June 23, 2003 to: USDA Forest Service, Daniel Boone National Forest, Attn: Procurement, 1700 Bypass Road, Winchester, KY 40391. In evaluating proposals, the following criteria will be applied, with 2 being most important, 5 important and 1, 3 and 4 being of relatively equal importance. 1) Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; 2) Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3) Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance schedules; and 5) Location in the general geographic area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project.
