- Description
- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined that it is in the its best interest to make a single source award to Booz-Allen and Hamilton. The objective of this anticipated contract is to define and validate an initial Concept of Use for en route sector modernization that addresses human performance and information integration/management. The determination that Booz-Allen and Hamilton should receive the single source contract is due to Booz-Allen and Hamiton's current knowledge and experience gained in the performance of an independent assessment of the Air Traffic Services Human Factors programs. This assessment includes human factors work for en route sector modernization, planned human factors research and analysis, potential benefits, and potential gaps/risks and risk mitigation strategies. Further, Booz Allen and Hamilton's experience has provided the firm with unique insights that can be applied in the development of the concept of use. This unique insight is necessary to develop the concept of use and create an animated mockup that can be used by FAA systems engineers.
