Description

The USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) requires labor, supervision, tools, and materials to renovate (+/-) 1,900 sq.ft. of a greenhouse at the Plant Genetics Resource Unit, Geneva, NY. Base work includes converting 4 cells into 3 cells by altering and partially re-glazing the existing house structure, replace the entire HVAC system through conversion from hot water to steam, and replace evaporative cooling systems. Optional requirements are: Option 1 to replace (+/-) 616 sq.ft. of flat top roofing over the head house and addition of canopy roofing, option 2 for refurbishment of (+/-) 1,000 sq.ft. of cells, and options 3 and 4 to replace acrylic roofing panels. The estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The project must be completed 180 days after receipt of notice to proceed.
