Item 0001, New Manufacture, Item 0002 New Manufacture with Government tested First Article Required. NSN: 2840-01-161-0494PR, P/N: 9911M68P03. Plate, Component Mount. Applicable to: F110-400 Engine. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: starting Feb 2004, a quantity between 25 ea and 75 ea will be acquired. The actual quantity will be determined at the time of award. At this time the Government?s BEQ is 58 ea. The following quantity ranges for pricing purposes will be solicited. (25-50 ea) and (51-75 ea). Qualification requirements: Requires prequalification of alternate sources to ensure the reliability of part. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. The approximate response date will be 15 JUL 03. The anticipated award date is 29 Aug 03. The approximate solicitation posting date 13 Jun 03. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. MANUFACTURER: GENERAL ELECTRIC. THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Government tested first article will be required on all qualified sources who have not produced this item within the last 36 months. Approved small business sources: LPI Corp, Electro Methods, Union Machine, Aircraft Precision. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requester is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which if timely shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
