- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms for the construction of a two-story Postal Service-owned facility of approximately 40,000 square feet in downtown Los Angeles. The first floor of the building will house carrier operations and a bulk mail entry unit. The second floor of the building will house administrative office space for internal personnel. Construction includes but is not limited to: earthwork, sanitary sewerage, gas piping, bituminous concrete paving, plain cement concrete paving, chain link fencing, cast-in-place concrete, concrete unit masonry, structural steel, steel joists, steel deck, steel studs, handrails and railings, grating, carpentry, sheet metal flashing and trim, metal doors and frames, wood doors, hardware, aluminum windows, glazing, lath and plaster, interior framing and gypsum board, carpet, painting, accoustical ceilings, miscellaneous specialties, loading dock equipment, CCTV systems, access control systems, hydraulic elevators, packaged rooftop mechanical units and associated ductwork, plumbing, piping and associated fixtures and fittings, interior and exterior lighting, power transformers, load panels and other electrical components and systems. Estimated construction cost range is $5,000,000-$5,325,000. The work is to be completed in 300 days after notice to proceed. The proposal must contain the offeror?s overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal is 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award.
