Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; price quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, DTCG81-03-Q-3JA005, is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions are available via internet address: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 315999 and Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Item Description: Operational Dress Uniform (ODU). SHIRT/BLOUSE – long sleeve, with two (02) front bellows pockets with drain holes and pencil pocket in left front pocket, adjustable sleeve buttons, double-reinforced elbows, dark navy blue color, sewn to milspec MIL-T-44048 modified to tuck into trouser (tapered), made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton ripstop material, and without epaulet. Sizes and Quantity: Small Short – 8 each, Medium Short – 16 each, Large Short – 56, Extra Large Short – 48 each, Small Regular – 16 each, Medium Regular – 144 each, Large Regular – 176 each, Extra Large Regular – 88 each, Extra Extra Large Regular –16 each, Small Long – 8 each, Medium Long – 72 each, Large Long – 136 each, Extra Large Long – 56 each, Extra Extra Large Long – 8 each. TROUSERS – Made of 65% polyster and 35% cotton ripstop material, dark navy blue color, with six pockets and fused pocket flaps, four button fly, double-reinforced seat and knee, 4 inch adjustable waist tabs, and drawstring leg closures. Trousers must be sewn to milspec MIL-T-44047. Sizes and Quantity: Small Short – 8 each, Medium Short – 16 each, Large Short – 56 each, Extra Large Short – 48 each, Small Regular – 16 each, Medium Regular – 144 each, Large Regular – 176 each, Extra Large Regular – 88 each, Extra Extra Large Regular – 16 each, Small Long – 8 each, Medium Long – 72 each, Large Long – 136 each, Extra Large Long – 56 each, Extra Extra Large Long – 8 each. Place of Acceptance: Destinations: Staten Island, NY 10305, and Kings Bay, GA 31547. The quantity to be shipped to each location is one-half of the quantity for each item. Required Delivery Date is June 20, 2003. If quotes are not FOB Destination, indicate Point Of Origin and shipping/freight cost. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provisions that applies to this RFQ: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999), and 52.215-5, Facsimile Proposals (Oct 1997). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and most advantageous to the Government, price and delivery time factors considered. FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror’s Representations and Certifications – Commercial Items (May 2001) MUST AND SHALL be completed and submitted with the RFQ’s. NO CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO QUOTES LACKING THIS AND ANY OTHER INFORMATION SET FORTH IN THIS SOLICITATION. FAR Clause that applies to this RFQ: 52.232-8, Discount for Prompt Payment (May 1997). PLEASE READ, COMPLETE AND PROVIDE ALL INFORMATION IN THIS SOLICITATION PARTICULARLY FAR PROVISION (S) 52.212-1 and 52.212-3. Quotes are due no later than June 9, 2003, local time 3:30 P.M.
