- Acquisition Services an office within the Department of Transportation (DOT) is seeking HUB Zone Small business sources to provide shuttle bus services which shall include, all personnel, supervision, and any other items or services necessary to support GSA-provided shuttle vehicles for transporting Department of Transportation (DOT) passengers on a set route. No transportation services will be required on National holidays or at any other time when DOT is officially closed. The HUB Zone small business contractor shall provide daily pick-up and delivery of approximately 1,000 passengers per day in shuttle buses with accessibility equipment that meets the Americans With Disabilities Act requirements. These 44-passenger buses have a set time schedule to be provided by the COTR. The driver performs preventive maintenance and checks the wheelchair lifts at the Transpoint building before the route begins at 6:00 a.m. at the (1) north side of C Street at the FAA Headquarters building, 800 Independence Ave., SW, with additional stops at (2) the 6th Street side of the Nassif building, 400 7th St, SW; (3) the SW corner of 4th and I Streets at the entrance to the EPA building at 401 M St, SW; (4) the V Street entrance to the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters building, 2100 2nd St., SW; (5) the NE corner of 4th and I Streets; (6) at the 6th Street side of the Nassif building; and return to (7) the north side of C Street at the FAA Headquarters building. The DOT shuttle service runs between 6:00 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. every day, five (5) days per week except Government holidays or any time that DOT is officially closed. From 6:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m., and again from 3:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. two (2) buses will be running the route. The rest of the schedule requires one (1) bus. All drivers shall: (1) speak the English language fluently, shall be able to read and understand printed traffic laws and signs, and understand verbal instructions in English; (2) have two (2) years experience driving similar passenger shuttle/buses; (3) be licensed to drive a passenger bus in the District of Columbia; (4) must have a current CDL; (4) possess no more than 3 minor traffic violations over the past 12 months and have not been convicted of a more serious driving violation within the past 36 months and (5) present a professional appearance and courteous attitude at all times while on or around DOT property or shuttle vehicles. Sources interested in this requirement should provide a description of your past experience in performing contracts comparable to these services over the past three years. The description of past performance must include the contract number, dollar value, and customer, name and telephone number of the customer's point of contact, and a summary and or description of the work performed. The submission shall be no more than a total of 10 pages in length. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, this is not a notice of a solicitation, and does not constitute a Government agreement to contract. Only HUB Zone Small Business under NAICS 485113 should respond. The Government does not intend to pay for information furnished in response hereto.
