Description
The following information is provided to do a Market survey of Industry to determine potential contractors who have the skills, experience and knowledge required to successfully complete this effort. The MAL Directorate at Hill Air Force Base is interested in obtaining information from various sources who may be interested in an Requirements type contract to support a number of ongoing and anticipated projects to migrate weapon systems workload from antiquated and unsupportable test equipment to recently acquired, contemporary, fully supportable, test platforms. The scope of performance may include: Test Program Set (TPS) development Programming will be in T-Basic code (BRAT) LabWindows/CVI (Teradyne) Interface Test Adapter (ITA) design and manufacture Design will follow (approximate) project predecessors in terms of dimension and UUT orientation for a given SRU production group where practical. PCB?s, cabling, connectors, and necessary strain relief will all be in accordance with mil-spec, or as required to achieve reliability necessary to support workload production. Documentation development or support Contractor may be required to make minor or major modifications to existing technical orders, test requirements documents, or other pertinent publications. These same documents may require establishment or re-development in their totality. Engineering services Contractor may be required to assess any test or series of tests for test adequacy or necessity. This may include establishing test requirements where test voids are discovered during the re-host process. Contractor may be required to establish test requirements from available engineering or other documentation such as acceptance test procedures, diagrams, schematics, and technical orders. Equipment acquisition Additional test platforms of a model and configuration that will support in-progress re-host efforts will be procurable under the provisions of this contract as well as peripheral additions necessary to adapt the station to accept new workload. Projects in progress include (but not limited to): TPS developments for BRAT model 105 opt. 1&2 F-15 SRU/LRU test and operational verification. TPS development for the Teradyne 9100 series tester A-10 SRU IFFCC/LASTE test and operational verification Based on the above needs the government would like Industry to answer some questions if interested in this work. Is it possible to develop software for the test equipment? How would the contractor?s provide (product) equipment if testers could not be provided? What does Industry provide in the way of data? What does industry use in the way of standards and specifications? How is work warranted and how does industry utilize the warranties? If possible we would like potential contractors to provide written verification and documentation of capabilities and facilities to perform the required repair, modification and testing efforts. Please provide any answers to the above questions with your qualifications if interested in participating in this Request for Proposal. The government does not intend to contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information solicited. All interested, responsible, qualified offerors should submit two copies of a written response to: Paulette Crowell, OO-ALC/PKOS, 6038 Aspen Ave, Bldg 1289 NE, Hill Air Force Base UT 84056 no later than 10 days after publication of this request. Thank you for your interest in this requirement.
