Description

NA The USPFO for California is soliciting bids for the project entitled Construct/Repair Avionics/Engine Shop for the Air National Guard located at 5323 E. McKinley Avenue, Fresno, CA 93727-2199 in Fresno County. Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, mat erials, tools, appliances, equipment, services, fuel and transportation to complete the construction of the project. The work included in this project is comprised of GENERAL CONSTRUCTION and REMODEL of the Avionics/Engine Shop and associated sitework. Wor k is comprised of demolition of sitework, including walks, paving and landscaping; demolition of a portion of existing building structure; demolition of interior building components for remodeling; general construction of building components for remodeling ; general construction of building addition and remodel/repair of existing building; construction of site improvements, including pavement and walks; and patch and repair of landscaping and irrigation work. Optional bid items include all work and materials to install white marker boards; glass display cabinets; 2-tier lockers and benches in Men's and Women's Restroom/Locker Rooms; painting of existing building exterior, including walls, doors, soffits, frames and louvers; construct mechanical screen wall wi th pre-finished metal wall panels, complete with re-over built-up roofing, roof drains, crickets, cants, etc.; casework in one room; accordion folding partition in one room; metal roofing system at new and existing roof in lieu of roof in base CLIN; Data S ystem components, Telephone System components, MATV/CATV System components and Public Address System components, including wiring, jacks, terminations, data termination and connectorizing equipment, and equipment relocation for each system. This Invitation for Bid is an unrestricted solicitation for full and open competition. However, if a HUBZone small business submits an offer, all other offers will be evaluated by adding a factor of 10 per cent to the price, except the offers from other HUBZone small bus iness concerns and other small businesses, in accordance with FAR clause 52.219-4 (b). This Invitation for Bid will result in a single Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. The associated North America Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 236210. Solicitation to b e issued on or about 16 June 2003. The estimated bid opening date/time will be on 18 July 2003 at 1400 (2PM PDT). Proposals from large companies must comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for the submission of a subcontracting plan. The plans and specifications will be in electronic format and will be available on a web site (to be specified in the solicitation) and/or will be available on a CD-ROM (if the web site is unavailable). A pre-bid conference is tentatively scheduled on 1 Jul 2 003 at 1:00PM PDT. Contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award can be made.
