Description
NA CONTACT Mr. Rene Acosta, (732) 532-4230. This is a market survey to locate sources who have available an Environmental Control Unit (ECU) with the following characteristics: It is intended to be used outside military tents and shelters, with 16 inch diame ter flexible ducts attached to both inlet and outlet of the evaporator. It shall have a maximum gross weight of 525 lbs. It shall have a minimum cooling capacity of 60,000 BTUH (desired sensible is 48,000 BTUH) and minimum heating capacity of 47,000 BTUH . It shall use non-ozone depleting refrigerant. It shall operate from a 208 volt, 50/60 Hz, 3 phase power source. It shall be capable of providing cooling and heating over a wide variety of environmental conditions, including temperatures from -50???? F to 125???? F (cooling 32???? to 125???? and heating -50???? to 80????). Minimum air flow shall be 1700 scfm @ 0.25 inch external water gage (wg). It shall have provision for fresh air air-flow min 280 scfm. The maximum power consumption is 14KW (maximum power desired is 10KW, which is not applicable for heat mode). The minimum power factor .85. The maximum current draw shall not exceed 48.2 amps. It shall meet EMI requirements and be compatible with chemical protection equipment and operation in contam inated areas. It shall incorporate up-to-date technology and components, must be easily maintainable in the field and contain embedded diagnostics. It must contain safety circuits and controls to prevent catastrophic damage and must conform to safety and human factors standards. Potential sources must be able to provide a sample as part of their proposal for Government evaluation and must be capable of producing significant quantities during follow on production. The sources should be highly experienced in the area of specialty environmental control, knowledgeable in the area of alternative refrigerant and possess a proven track record of accomplishments an on-time delivery of specialty environmental control units. Responses are to be received via e-mai l, within 15 calendar days of the date of this notice. Interested suppliers are to furnish descriptive literature of their product via e-mail to rene.acosta@us.army.mil. The supporting literature must be in sufficient detail to enable the Government revi ewer to determine if the vendor has the required product and production qualifications required for the effort.
