Description

NA This pre-solicitation notice is being issued to inform industry that the US Army CECOM is preparing to solicit for the NextGen II, Phase IV, High Performance Battery Family, Rectangular Lithium Manganese Dioxide Battery Group. Documents related to this sol icitation are posted on the Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP), Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) under the solicitation number at https://abop.monmouth.army.mil. All documents are currently in draft form and will remain so until the solicita tion becomes final. Potential offerors interested in this acquisition should download the Draft Executive Summary to gain an understanding of the Government??????s acquisition strategy for this effort before downloading the remaining documents due to the size of some of the documents. Documents for this acquisition are being posted as they become available. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring the IBOP on a regular basis for any updates to the solicitation. It is recommended that potential offerors sign up for the solicitation specific mailing list on the IBOP. The Government intends to award two (2), five (5) year Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts from this solicitation. Award of the contracts are to be made based upon a 60%/40% split of the requirement. The 60% portion is reserved for Domestic sources. All interested parties must register to use the IBOP in order to access, operate, send/receive information. Submittal of proposals to the Government shall be thr ough the IBOP. The due date specified in this notice will be overridden by the due date specified in the final solicitation, once issued. A pre-solicitation conference will be held on June 17, 2003 to address the requirements of the solicitation and answ er any questions that industry may have pertaining to this solicitation. Additional information concerning this pre-solicitation conference is posted on the IBOP.
