Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotations. This solicitation as well as all provisions and clauses are current through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-08. There is a site visit scheduled for 6 June 2003 at 1000 and written quotes will be due 11 June 2003 by 1630 Central Standard Time. This is for the purposes of Replacing Tail Roll-up Door with the following specifications: Description/Material: The work to be accomplished under this contract shall consist of the follwing work—remove old and install a new 23’x21’ roll up tail door that is suspended 80’ in the air with all associated hardware, i.e., gearbox, motor, limit switches, hood and weather-stripping, etc. Door has to meet all fire, safety, and electrical codes associated with the mission operations in the hangar. New door must meet or exceed structural and weatherproof constraints of original installation. Door must be operable by both manual and electrical operation with hold to close and hold to open switch capability. A safety cut out switch is also needed at the bottom of the door to keep the hanger doors from causing damage to tail door when it is in the fully closed position. Location of Work: Hanger 5015, 988 Ave. D, DYESS AFB, TX. 79607 A copy of the Statement of Work will be given out AT THE site Visit 6 June 2003, at 1000, or is available upon request. This project is SET ASIDE 100% for SMALL BUSINESS INTERESTS. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 236210 with a small business size standard of $28.5M dollars. The offeror certifies that it has made a good faith effort to determine whether forced or indentured child labor was used to mine, produce, or manufacture such end product. On the basis of those efforts, the offeror certifies that it is not aware of any such use of child labor. (End of provision) 52.232-18 AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS (APR 1984) Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
