- Description
- This special notice is for all contractors who wish to obtain copies of specifications, drawings, and other technical information for MLCPAC(vpl) solicitations. Effective immediately, all contractors must register at the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) website to receive the specifications and drawings for future MLCPAC(vpl) ship or boat repair solicitations. FedTeDS.gov is a federal government website designed to safeguard acquisition related information. This web application will not only enable the distribution and dissemination of Sensitive But Unclassified (SBU) acquisition material, it will also be integrated with FedBizOpps and the Business Partner Network/Central Contractor Registration. The purpose of FedTeDS.gov is to securely transmit and disseminate sensitive acquisition material related to solicitations found on FedBizOpps.gov, the single government point-of-entry for Federal government procurement opportunities. Additional information regarding the FedTeDS system can be found at http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/egov/press/fedteds.htm. Beginning with the solicitation for the Drydock and Repair of USCGC KISKA (DTCG85-03-B-625702), you will only be able to access Coast Guard ship repair availability specifications through FedTeDS.gov. To do so, you will be required to register at www.FedTeDS.gov by clicking on the "Site Map" and then "Federal Vendors Registration." You will need the following information to register: (1) Your Company's Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Company's CCR Point of Contact); (2) Your Company's CAGE Code or DUNS Number; (3) Your Telephone Number; (4) Your E-Mail Address. Copies of specifications and drawings for future solicitations will only be available through the FedTeDS website. Solicitations will continue to be posted to FedBizOps, with a hyperlink established between the FedBizOps posting page and FedTeDS to obtain the specifications and drawings. See the current FedBizOps posting for repairs to CGC KISKA for an example of the new system; the url is http://www2.eps.gov/spg/DHS-DR/USCG/VPLMLCP/DTCG85-03-B-625702/Attachments.html. Contractors will need to have an established FedTeDS registration to download the specifications and submit a request for a drawing CD-ROM. Because it will take several days to process registration on FedTeDS, all contractors are urged to register immediately. If you have difficulty registering, please consult the FedTeDS Help Desk by dialing 1-800-392-1798, option 8 (electronic business/EDA), M-F, 8am-4pm ET.
