Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Process Measurements Division, has a requirement for a Precision Temperature Comparison System which operates over a range between 0 degrees C and 660 degrees C. The system will be used to compare Standard Platinum Resistance Thermometers (SPRTs) with a Johnson Noise Thermometer (JNT) in this range. The performance specifications are based on achieving accuracy targets of better than 0.001% of temperature for the temperature differences between ITS-90 and the JNT with a minimum of electromagnetic interference. ***The period of performance shall be 120 days from the date of award.***FOB shall be DESTINATION, Gaithersburg, MD.***This requirement is being procured using full & open competition. ***The NAICS code for this requirement is 334516 with a small business size standard of 500 employees.***The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), specifications, RFQ amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at HTTP://WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under RFQ number SB1341-03-Q-0492.***The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 19, 2003, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site.***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. No written solicitation document is available, telephone requests shall not be honored, and no bidders list shall be maintained.
