Description

Expressions of Interest from potential subcontractors interested in providing grounds maintenance service at the Savannah River Site (SRS). The SRS consist of approximately 300 square miles, with a population of approximately 12,000 people, with the majority of personnel located in nine (9) areas within the boundaries of this large DOE facility. The grounds maintenance scope of work will require the subcontractor to provide the necessary labor, equipment and professional expertise for mowing road shoulders, manicuring lawn areas, edging sidewalks, keeping grounds and roadways free of litter, maintaining shrubbery, and controlling vegetation growth in designated areas with site approved herbicides. Westinghouse Savannah River Company (WSRC) will accept Expressions of Interest from interested subcontractors with demonstrated past experience in grounds maintenance service. Potential subcontractors will need to have a demonstrated safety performance evidenced by a three-year average Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 1.0 or less and a three-year Total Recordable Case Rate (TRC) of 4.6 or less. WSRC has intentions of issuing the Request for Proposal as a set-aside solicitation for Small Business concerns only. Subcontractors desiring consideration are requested to submit their Expression of Interest in the following format: a) Information on subcontractor organization, key personnel and financial capability b) Experience in grounds maintenance services for past three years, with references c) EMR and TRC rates for each of the past three years Expressions of Interest should not exceed ten (10) pages in length. Those Expressions of Interest deemed acceptable to WSRC will be offered the opportunity to visit SRS and to submit a comprehensive proposal for formal evaluation and consideration for subcontract award.
