- Description
- Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Administration Center (HAC) intends to negotiate a Commercial Services (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Southwest Texas State University Department of Health Services Research, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 13; 04/17/03). Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirement. A justification for the other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of the acquisition. Based upon the Solicitation No 741-14-03, the Government intends to award a contract for one year with 2 option years for participation in managing the input/processing and report arrays of the DSS National Data Extracts (NDE), which bring together the data from 23 VA Networks of 5-9 hospitals each. The contractor shall provide expertise in managing, producing the reports of DSS National Data Extracts as well as preparing special national summary reports for VHA leaders have the ability to use the DSS NDE data to prepare ad hoc queries and reports to be used to answer specific questions/issues for different national and VISN users. The ability to use the full range of SAS in the mainframe environment, SAS graphical, SAS Screen Control Language, SAS/Intranet software and SAS analysis tools. Analyzing specific cohorts of patients and types of reports that are of value to VHA. Deliverables: No specific deliverables are specified within this contract. The contract calls for general data analysis assistance in an ad hoc manner to assist the VA staff. Inquires will only be accepted in writing by mail.
