Description

Project for Room Rehab, Buildings 1603-1604, Sheppard Air Force Base TX, will be issued in the near future. Work will consist of furnishing all necessary plant, labor and materials to accomplish the following renovation work in Bldgs 1603-1604: (1) Demolish existing wallpaper. (2)Furnish and install new Duroplex or equal wall coating in 256 rooms and 12 suites in rooms Bldg?s 1603 and 1604. Total square footage for buildings 1603 and 1604 is 265,506 sq ft (948.2 per room). (3)Work and materials shall comply with this Statement of Work and the editions in effect at the time of his solicitation for all applicable criteria, regulations, guidelines and codes, all of which are made a part thereof. (4)There shall be one point of contact for all phases of the work to be performed ? this shall be a true turnkey installation. Project will be completed in conjunction with whole room upgrade. Contractors will be required to coordinate with project manager from Thomasville furnishings on all renovation timelines and decisions. All work shall be in accordance with the statement of work and drawings. Magnitude of construction project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 100 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Solicitation is being issued for FULL and OPEN competition. Applicable NAICS code for this project is 238320 with a size standard of $12 million dollars. Solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted through the electronic posting system (http://eps.gov/). Paper copies will not be provided. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and obtaining the solicitation documents and any amendments. Interested offerors must ensure they are registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to receive award of a contract. Information to register can be found on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/ telephone 1-888-227-2423. Estimated issue date for the solicitation is on or about 13 June 2003.
