- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons/Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award of a requirements type of contract for the United States Penitentiary, Atlanta, Georgia, for Comprehensive Medical Services to include inpatient/outpatient, institution, facility/physician services in a comprehensive package. The provider(s) shall make available on a nondiscriminatory basis, inpatient and outpatient services in a manner consistent with the medical needs of the patients in accordance with medical standards for quality and cost-effective patient care. The payment methodology for these services shall be calculated from benchmarks utilizing medicare reimbursement methodologies. For each category of service to be provided, offeror(s) will be allowed to propose a variance from the Benchmark Medicare rate in the form of a discount or a premium to medicare rates established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The medical care will be for the inmates incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary located in Atlanta, Georgia. Offerors are requested to contact the Contracting Officer listed in this notice. Solicitation RFP 30106-003 will only be issued through FedBizOpps. No hard copy of the solicitation will be provided. The estimated issue date of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is February 26, 2003. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is March 26, 2003. The contract will include a base year not to exceed twelve (12) months with four (4) one year option renewal period. The estimated maximum quantities are as follows: Base Year-1000 inpatient days and 1200 outpatient visits; Option Year One-1100 inpatient days and 1300 outpatient visits; Option Year Two-1200 inpatient days and 1400 outpatient visits; Option Year Three-1300 inpatient days and 1500 outpatient visits; Option Year Four-1400 inpatient days and 1600 outpatient visits. The following Outpatient Institution services will be required; Orthopedic Surgeon, Dermatologist, Radiologist, Urologist, General Surgeon, ENT Specialist, Dietician, Optometrist, Podiatrist, Gastroenterologist, Pathologist, Neurologist, Ophthalmologist, Oral Surgeon, Nephrologist and Cardiologist. The NAICS code for this service is 622110 with a small business size standard of $29.0 million. All responsible sources may submit a proposal.
