Description

The government intends to issue a long-term indefinite quantity type contract for the items referenced in this attachment. The required items are for compressors, pumps, and related spare parts. The items are sole source to Howden Airdynamics: the required delivery is 120 days for all items; item support will be for Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD). Foreign Military Sales(FMS), and for the Stock replenishment system. The estimated annual demand will vary per item-quantities may range from 1-500 each dependent upon the needs of the government. All interested offerors are strongly encouraged to submit proposals no later than the closing date of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of 18 June 2003. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration(base plus option years) shall not exceed 10 years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 4320, 4310, 4820, 3040, 4710, 3010, 3020, 4710, 4440, 4720, 1005 and 4730. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: Howden Airdynamics(58163).
