Description

The Contractor shall modify the heating system in Bldg 1002, located at the USDA, ARS, BARC in Beltsville, Maryland, in accordance with the Statement of Work, drawings, and specifications. All work is to be completed within 75 calendar days following receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Magnitude of project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A site visit is scheduled for June 30, 2003, 10 a.m., meeting in front of Bldg 1002, Beltsville, MD. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 238220 and the annual size standard is $12.0 million. This acquisition will be procured as a small business set-aside, under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ), using procedures from FAR Part 13?Simplified Acquisitions Procedures, and incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about June 19, 2003. The solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check the website for the solicitation, as well as any amendments that may arise. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations will be due July 21, 2003. A firm-fixed price purchase order will be awarded to the responsible offeror who submits a quotation with the lowest overall cost to the Government. Anticipated award date is July 28, 2003.
