Description: NA NA We intend to award a sole source contract to the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, 801 Leroy Place, Socorro, New Mexico 87801-4796. White Sands Missle Range has a need for a geological map of the Mound Springs area, a map of live and dead mounds, GPS locations and height of live and dead mounds, stratigraphy and lithology of Mound Springs area, cursory notes and identification of paleontology of the area and a general hydrology and geology of mound springs including an estimate of ages of the live and dead mounds. The New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, established by legislation in 1927, is a service and research division of New Mexico Tech and has the sole responsibility for applied research into the geology and miner al resources for the state of New Mexico. The New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resoures prepares professional publications, to include maps and reports in cooperation with federal, state, and local government agencies within New Mexico and is also responsible for the distribution and availability of these types of publications including reprinting or updating, as required.
