- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to procure various electronic parts in various quantities, including but not limited to circuit card assemblies, terminals, relays, cables, and back plane assemblies in support of the Army?s Bridge Erection Boats. All parts are manufactured by Modicon, Subsidiary of AEG. It is the Government?s belief that only Modicon, and/or their authorized distributors, possess the technical and engineering data required to successfully manufacture these parts, therefore, it is intended to solicit ONLY Modicon and/or their authorized distributors. NO ALTERNATE OF EQUAL PART NUMBERS SHALL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. Interested sources that possess the capabilities of obtaining the required technical, engineering and manufacturing data from Modicon, and possess the capabilities of manufacturing these parts can submit information regarding their capabilities. This information must include (1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e., salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics), or (2) data that the offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or Modicon. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN TEN (10) WORKING DAYS FROM THE DATE THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISHED. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this purchase order. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. The Request For Quotation (RFQ), Number DTCG40-03-Q-50079, shall be available for download by accessing FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov, on or about 10 June 2003. THIS DATE IS ESTIMATED AT BEST. Interested sources are encouraged to check FedBizOpps daily after 10 June 2003 for the solicitation posting. Quotations shall be due no later than 20 June 2003. Hard copies of the solicitation package shall not be issued from this office. Delivery of all parts shall be F.O.B. Destination to the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000, and shall be made no later than 31 July 2003. See Numbered Note 22. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.203-1 and TAM 1206.302. The following statement is for information purposes only: ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP), offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
