- Description
- The Government intends to procure on a Full and Open Competition basis, Interim Storage, Distribution Services and Container Maintenance for all grades of Hydrazine. Hydrazine is a hazardous chemical-based propellant used in support of national defense and the space program. Due to Hydrazine?s hazardous nature, compliance with extraordinary safety measures for storage, handling and distribution are required. The award will be a five-year, fixed price, requirements type contract. The contract ordering period will be a straight five years from 01 December 2003 through 30 November 2008. The solicitation will contain line items for Hydrazine associated services such as Storage and Distribution of five different grades of Hydrazine, totaling 855,833 pounds, into tank trucks, generic propellant tank units (GPTUs), cylinders and drums; Purging and Cleaning of trailers, cylinders and drums; Hydrostatic Testing and Replacement of Cylinder Gaskets and Valves; Palletizing of drums; and Non-Routine Lab Analysis. The anticipated award date will be 1 July 2003. Only written, emailed, or faxed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable. The subject solicitation, to be issued on or about 10 June 2003, will be posted to FedBizOpps web page (www.fedbizopps.gov) and via the World Wide Web at the Defense Energy Support Center home page (www.desc.dla.mil). When the solicitation is posted to the homepage, a notice will be sent to all firms on the mailing list. If you do not have Internet, a hard copy of the solicitation may be requested. Offers should be submitted, in writing, to the address stated above. E-mail (.PDF files) or facsimile offers will be accepted, but should be submitted by the closing time and followed up by hard copy. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
