- This announcement is to determine if there are competent and qualifie= d Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers fo= r Fire Life Safety Upgrade of two Airport Traffic Control Towers located in= Lubbock Texas and Longview, Texas. This procurement is set-aside for Small Business. The North American Indus= try Classification System (NAICS) code is 234990 - $28.5 Million. The work will consist of but is not limited to:=20 =C2=B7Installation and testing of new fire diction/alarm system and demolit= ion of the existing fire alarm systems in the ATCT and base buildings to in= clude the interconnecting corridor. Installation of new fire-rated walls, doors, partitions, barriers and syste= ms. =C2=B7Replacement or modification, repair, patching, painting, refinishing = resurfacing of existing walls, partitions, doors, and/or ceiling. =C2=B7Sealing of existing and/or newly made penetrations or openings throug= h walls. =C2=B7Application of fire proofing to protect steel. =C2=B7Installation of new louvers, dampers, fire doors and related hardware= . =C2=B7Training of system/s installed. The contract performance period is 180 calendar days. The magnitude of the= project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The successful offeror must meet the following GO/NO GO criteria:=20 The contractor must have successfully completed simular projects in a commi= ssioned/operational Federal Aviation Administration Facility and the contra= ctor must provide the name of the facility and a Point of Contact with tele= phone number with request for specifications and plans. Contractors must have their request for this package to this office not lat= er than 4:00 PM local time, June 19, 2003. Contractor shall not be furnish= ed a package if the request is received after June 19, 2003.
