- Description
- The VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR Part 6.302 to a firm by the name of ERBE USA, Inc., for APC-300 Argon Plasma Coagulator. ERBE USA, Inc. will provide the APC-300 Argon Plasma Coagulator on the terms of net 30, with 2 year parts and labor warranty for ICC 200 generator, 1 year parts and labor APC-300 generator, and 1 year ENDO Lavage Pump. The Argon Plasma Coagulation is used in open surgery, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, especially for hemostasis of large surface bleeding. It conducts monopolar electrosurgical current to tissue via an ionized argon gas stream. This will be a TVHS procurement, for the Nashville VA Medical Center. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties that believe they can meet these needs with an equal product must furnish sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements no later than 4:00pm, June, 23, 2003. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses received will be reviewed however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
