- Description
- Under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, the VA Medical Center at 7305 N. Military Trail West Palm Beach, Florida intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Best Locking Systems of Florida, Inc. located at 497 Semoran Blvd. Casselberry, Florida 32707 to purchase additional Basis V proximity reader locking systems to match existing equipment already installed at the Medical Center. These proximity readers are a hardware locking system providing security to rooms the Medical Center wants limited access to. The system requires anyone wishing access to the room to scan their name tag thus eliminating the need to issue keys. This provides a more controlled environment without the worry of lost or duplicated keys being circulated to unauthorized individuals. Best Locking Systems is the only company with access to our master keys and codes. The keying plan is unique to West Palm Beach VA and no other locksmith can combinate locks and cut keys for WPB. Anyone wishing to respond to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that they can meet these requirements. Interested parties have five (5) days from publication of this synopsis to submit in writing their qualifications and capabilities. Such qualifications and capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Fax responses to the attention of the Contractng Officer at 561-882-6507. Oral communications will not be accepted. If there are no responses to this notice within five (5) days, negotiations will commence with Best Locking Systems of Florida.
